Boats: Easy on the eye, and easy on the budget
This week we are able to introduce three boats that are even easier to fall in love with now that they have had their asking prices reduced. If you’re looking for a canal boat for sale around Herts and London we may have the boat you are looking for. As with all Boatshed boats we have an extensive slideshow of images for each boat for sale, so that you can really examine the boat inside and out.
Narrowboat Springer 45ft (pictured) now £22,500
Our broker Phil says, “I wasn't expecting much - after all Springers get some bad press. I was delighted to find a little gem. A well maintained Springer can hold it's head up with any narrowboat and this one had its head held high.
At the last survey the surveyor commented "This is probably the best maintained Springer I have ever seen."
This is an easy boat to fall in love with. Reverse layout, Art Nouveau glass work, almost new engine - what more could you want? Ideal for cruising or as a small live-aboard. A mooring is available for this boat at BWML Apsley Marina, subject to agreement with marina management. A premium may be payable for transfer of mooring. Click the link to see more photos.
Elysian 27 Centre Cockpit now £9,800
It’s not just narrowboats for sale here at Boatshed Grand Union. Here you can view all the photos we have of this classic Elysian river cruiser, with the advantage of the centre cockpit configuration. It’s a great weekender or holiday boat for a couple or family and a leisure mooring may be available at Broxbourne Cruising Club, subject to approval by the club. Broxbourne is a gorgeous area for cruising with some lovely cosy waterside pubs nearby.
Houseboat 35 On Freehold Mooring now £139,500
And now for something completely different: A picturesque static houseboat moored on the Grand Union canal complete with a large private garden with scenic lakeside views. A fully functional, comfortable home offering a privately owned garden in idyllic surroundings. Mooring fees are included in the sale of the houseboat to December 2012. White goods also included in the sale. There is a private car park at the entrance to the moorings. The area is in an excellent location on the outskirts of West London.
Click on the link above to see photos of the gorgeous private garden.
