Broker's Comments
Boatshed Norfolk are pleased to offer this rare Broom / Aquafibre Ocean Star 37 GRP cruiser. This boat was bought by the current owner to do some travelling and so he has been engaging in a serious refit for him to travel and tour the UK and Europe, however his plans have now changed.
He has been diligently refitting and upgrading the boat since purchase and has not spared any expense in doing so. The boat is rare in itself and offers great accommodation and is very well presented indeed.
She is in original Gel coat and had new Yanmar diesel engines fitted in 2001. The owner has now added full touchscreen engine instrumentation as part of the digital upgrade to the boat using the Raymarine axiom 9 units for all engine monitoring and navigation functions. This is really slick and nicely updates the helm.
She has had extensive works done over the last 6 months to include onboard wifi, smart Victron Bluetooth battery monitor, Victron smart battery charger, USB sockets throughout, front cabin custom mattress, 2 TVS added, new fridge freezer, cooker and microwave, new galley worktops, new carpets and sofa and curtains, new mains and 12v wiring and 3kw inverter, new ropes and tread master and new touchscreen navigation and engine systems. He fitted out the boat with the best for his own use but has now changed direction and so this capable, spacious and heavily improved boat is now being sold.
This large boat offers a huge flybridge with plenty of seating and a folding screen and radar mast. She has an aft well area and swim platforms and wide safe decks with good guard rails and access points and her large front deck has a moulded bench seat which is nice.
Inside the main saloon there are two sliding access doors port and starboard and a good sized corner sofa and table, with the helm station to port. Forward is a large double cabin with bespoke new mattress and a separate large heads and shower rooms.
Heading aft from the saloon is a midships galley with all new facilities as detailed and the whole boat is electrically powered through a large inverter and battery bank so there is no gas to worry about. Aft is a large twin cabin with an aft washroom layout with toilet and shower.
The boat is well presented and would make a very nice and easy to manoeuvre river cruiser or sea boat.
She has a fresh Boat Safety Certificate to 2028 and her Broads toll is paid. Her berth may also be available to the new owner if wanted, by agreement with the marina.
These boat details are subject to contract.
Note: Offers on the asking price may be considered.
When buying any boat it is always recommended that servicing any engines irrespective of any history would always be advisable and good practice at the first opportunity.
