Broker's Comments
The Achilles 24 is always a keenly sought after cruiser/racer locally. She performs well around the cans, often taking line honours from larger yachts, but is also a comfortable and sea-worthy fast cruiser. The only criticism of the marque is the restricted accommodation, but for someone who prizes sailing quality and performance over caravan comforts the little Achilles is a hard act to beat. The triple keeled version is particularly useful around the Bristol Channel, where the best harbours dry out. Now, it is true that this one is lacking in a few creature comforts and will benefit from some serious TLC below decks BUT she appears to have a well looked after motor, serviceable canvas and running rigging and enough gear to get sailing while restoration takes place PLUS, she's 'cheap as chips!'
