Built to impeccable standards by the famed Philbrook boatyard in B.C. Canada, the Fast Passage has a fine pedigree, indeed. The shape of her hull has lots of grade to it - which is the genius touch of William Garden.
This example has new high-grade portlights with glass 2016. Rebuilt refrigeration insulated with R50 vacuum panels powered by keel cooler. Uses 2 amps per hour. Added heat shield around stove. Replaced galley propane hoses.
New head in 2007 with holding tank replacement to larger 20 gal. Recent (2017) replacement of hoses and y-valve.
For the taller crew, there's a 6'6" v berth. Private aft stateroom with 6'4" x 50" double. Galley has 17.5 sq. ft. of counter space, double sink, and a 1 cu. ft. freezer.
Waterline Boats / Boatshed did not independently verify capacities and measures, which are reported from seller-provided information and/or literature.

The unusually large, liveable tri-cabin interior is accomplished by placing the private head aft of the main cabin and away from sleeping areas. This increases the length of the V-berth and provides added space for the galley. Another benefit of this plan is the designed-in location for a large cabin heater and nice sized double berth aft stateroom.
As you enter the companionway that is offset to starboard the master aft stateroom is to port with a Pullman style double berth. There is a nice size nightstand with drawers and a bookcase that extends the length of the cabin. Further along, to starboard is the sizeable forward-facing nav station. Onward to port is the very sizeable U shape galley with double sink and sufficient room for two cooks! Also, hooks for strapping in during heavy weather. New fridge compressor 2020. Across from the galley on the starboard side amidships is the head. The galley counter overlooks a large size salon with dining table offset to port. There is plenty of storage in nicely appointed wood cabinetry in the salon and behind the seating. Also of note are the many new stainless portlights with glass windows and formidable dogs. This allows for tremendous ventilation not commonly seen in boats today. Amidships starboard adjacent to the settee is a diesel heater. The heater is fed by its own 5-gallon tank. The heater is not currently operational and it is recommended that it be replaced.
Forward is the V-berth with substantial width making it a comfortable accommodation. At the foot is access to the anchor locker. There is storage below the V-berth as well as two lockers in the cabin.

VIRTUAL TOUR - VIDEO - 80 TO 100 PHOTOS - FULL SPECS CAN BE VIEWED OF THIS VESSEL!
The Fast Passage is a superb William Garden design. In his own words, he says it's "beamier for her length..." Famed Northwest designer Robert Perry (who studied under Garden) was impressed with this yacht’s general similarity of proportions to his own Valiant 40. Close hauled performance is superior while allowing for sea comfort and spacious accommodations. Even in stronger winds, there is no weather helm as often felt in competing bluewater boats. This yacht goes well to windward and has a large skeg rudder set aft which provides optimum control when running or reaching. As a sloop rig, it is highly effective in the lighter winds of the Pacific Northwest yet allows for single-handing around the globe.
Bluewater cruising is optimized with its modified fin keel and Cutter rig option (included). The displacement to length ratio is 249.
Other key comfort factors making this vessel extremely liveable are the wide Pullman style master berth, a large galley suitable for even 3 people to be working simultaneously, and the remodeled extended size refrigeration.
Here's a Cruising World article extolling the virtues of the Fast Passage. https://www.cruisingworld.com/sailboats/fast-passage-39-proven-passagemaker/
This vessel has been well maintained. The owners are reluctantly selling after having retired with a move to the desert.
