The Fay 36ft steel yacht is a medium displacement cruiser that has evolved from long experience of design, building and sailing.
A modern hull shape with a three quarter length keel gives excellent performance to these ocean cruisers. The sharp bow, full amidships section and flat run off aft give the yachts their high all round performance. Windward ability is good and the yachts are fast and stiff. Off the wind they sail quickly with little heeling. Down wind, such as in the trade winds, very high daily mileage's have been recorded. These yachts sail fast with little rolling.
I have added the plans for this vessel to the photos to show her formidable construction, she is a soft chine construction using 50 x 25 x 6 T bar, the stem is 1 inch solid bar with a collision bar back to the lead ballast, the keel is the same design....very strong.

Broker's Comments
These boat details are subject to contract.
The Fay 36A design is Fays most popular. A yacht of this size is what is often chosen for long term sailing, she is ideal for a couple who plan to live aboard and cruise for long periods of time. The internal volume of these hulls also make them ideal for a family. This vessel appears to be finished to a good standard and has been enjoyed by her owner who also built her to Fays design. She has regularly sailed around the south and east coasts as well as the North sea. Paul Fay who is the designer has been aboard this vessel, he is contactable on google at Fay marine and is likely to be happy to give his view on this vessel.
Viewing Highly recommended!
