Broker's Comments

This is a rare and unique craft having been built by a local engineer on a new Cox 22 GRP hull and super structure and self built supervised by Cox. The GRP hull was paid up in 1975 and the build took 5 years. She comes with a large package of manuals and documents.

The family have owned and used the boat every year of the 43 years they have had her since completion and launch in 1980.

The boat appears to be in very good general condition just requiring a cosmetic hull polish to the blue gelcoat. She has a another unique feature in the single cylinder Ducati IS16 air cooled engine which negates all the cooling trouble that can befall a boat. This has proven a reliable and very economical engine for the boat and has the feature or being able to direct warm air into the boat to heat the cabin in winter.

The oak interior is very attractive and she can sleep 4 in a clever design. The front cabin has two singles and the saloon converts to a double. The galley is adequate and functional and she exudes character and charm and represents excellent value for the new owners to go boating.

I can only see that she would benefit from a polish to the blue hull and possible antifoul when next out of the water.

Unfortunately the family can no longer manage the boat that they lovingly built and loved for such a long time due a major health issue. Due to this, the boat comes with all that is aboard as they cannot boat any longer. A new battery will also be fitted.

She has a current Boat Safety Certificate to June 2026 and her Broads toll is paid.
