Broker's Comments

This traditional Dutch motor barge, built in 1927, carried peat and traded in Holland until 1960 when it was converted into a three/four bedroom houseboat. The vessel is in operational condition and meets all the 2017/18 European inland water regulations and can be taken cruising all across Europe.

During the course of 2013/14 this vessel was slipped in Holland and the bottom plating was doubled up using 6mm steel plate up to some 150 mm above the water line. During the current re-fit, all new cabling has been run and the sockets changed for 13 amp square pin units ,a new 240 volt shore power system control unit was put in, fitted with trips, while the 24 volt dc system is re-wired.

The vessel is moored in the heart of Ipswich on a locked private jetty at £2000+VAT per year including water. Ongoing support from the vendor is available if required.

This boat presents an excellent opportunity to acquire a fully operational and cruising houseboat. It has easy access to local facilities and main road & rail transport routes into London
