She is now moving ashore but is presently still living on the boat. The boat needs a little TLC but is a well laid out space with both cabins and the shower room amidships giving the boat a very open, bright forward saloon with access out into the large cratch area. The front zip down window in the cratch cover is almost like a picture window when open and really creates a nice space. The boat was surveyed back in 2021 and needed some spot welding doing which the owner had professionally done and the boat was blacked at the same time so the boat will need blacking. 3 of the windows leak a bit in heavy sideways rain so really want removing and re-sealing and the engine bay will need cleaning out and re-painting. This classic Dutch barge, was originally a sailing barge whose main cargo was potatoes from the fields around the canals and estuaries of Friesland, in the north-east of the Netherlands. She was converted to a houseboat in around 1975. The owners purchased the barge in Holland and lovingly restored and updated the interior to create a comfortable houseboat in an idyllic location. This lovely barge has a contemporary yet traditional feel, with a modern shower room with separate shower cubicle and electric toilet. A roomy fully equipped galley/kitchen area, which extends into the comfortable wheelhouse for relaxing and taking in the fabulous views.
