Broker's Comments

Now you don’t come across one of these every day folks (in fact she is unique), and to be quite frank, I am not sure that any comments I can make will be adequate!

She is a steel, gaff rigged cutter, based on the simplicity 25 Falmouth workboat. She was designed by Percy Dalton and built by around 1982, and not launched until 2006.

Her present owner bought her simply because she is the most spacious 25-footer he has ever come across! You need to check out the photos really, I can't help very much in just a few lines!

Owner’s Comments

“A very spacious Gaffer, huge accommodation for her size.
Traditional appearance, very pretty, one of a kind.
Hull was laid in 1982 but not commissioned until 2006, epoxied inside and out.
Hull blasted & 5 coats of new epoxy applied in 2013. Topsides and deck painted at same time. She is a tough long keel cruising yacht, copes very well in a seaway and comes into her own in a stiff breeze. Her bowsprit is retractable (reducing marine fees) and her sail area is easily managed shorthanded. Has been sailed to Holland, Isle of man, Channel Islands, Cornwall & Brittany.”

I suppose the overriding impression for me on going aboard was that of classic charm coupled with a modern outlook. Her wiring and electronics are very much up to date, her living space is cosy but spacious (you honestly won't believe you are in a 25 foot yacht), and of course her steel construction means she is ready to take on almost anything!

For once words fail me. Come and have a look!
