Who are we?

Boatshed was founded in 1999 by Neil and Mandy Chapman and since then has become a global network, with local knowledge and cutting edge technology. Grand Union broker Phil Bassett is a keen narrowboater, with many years of experience gained from leisure boating, skipper training and his extensive involvement with boating charities. Peggy Melmoth is Boatshed’s administrator, and she’s a freelance blogger, specialising in writing about boats and canals, and she has lived aboard for 13 years.

“I cannot praise Phil enough for his salesmanship. He took every question we had seriously, following up each inquiry quickly, sometimes having to liaise with the owner.”
