We are delighted to offer this 70ft liveaboard narrowboat for sale with an interior that is second to none. The current owners have lived on her for two years and before that she was a home to her previous owner for ten years. This means she has been continually ‘tweaked’ to improve accommodation for living aboard.

The inside of the boat is beautiful. First class materials with no expense spared and professionally finished.

Entering from the foredeck through to glazed double doors there is a spacious and light lounge. Flooring is in antique oak with the upper panelling in fluted, painted timber, and a white ceiling for maximum light. The diesel heater is styled as a solid fuel stove and heats the rest of the boat via large-bore copper radiator pipes and a traditional radiator.

The galley is large as boats go, and kitchen chores on a summer’s day are made more pleasant with the sun streaming in through the side hatch, and swans and ducks coming to visit.

The bathroom has doors which close across the corridor giving a full width space. There is an oversized shower with glass screen, basin and a pump out toilet.

The master bedroom is probably the biggest I’ve seen on a boat; with room for furniture such as a desk or chest of drawers, and there is a fitted wardrobe. The oak flooring continues into this room.

Next is a utility room which houses a washer/ dryer and an enclosure for the BMC engine. There is also a second side hatch painted beautifully with colourful roses. The engine, completely rebuilt in 2002, is offset to one side. The drive utilises a shaft with two universal joints under the cabin floor. While unusual on narrowboats, this is a common and proven system on Dutch barges and gives you extra living space inside the boat.

Finally, there is a beautiful, traditionally painted boatman's cabin, with drop down single cross bed and a drop down table. The side bed, whilst narrow as a seat has a wooden extension that can be lifted to make it wider as a bed. This cabin also contains a 300watt inverter, and a radiator, as well as storage.

This is one of the finest live-aboard boats we have had at Boatshed in quite some time. She is currently lying in the picturesque village of Marsworth, near Tring, Herts on a residential mooring. While the mooring is not transferable there will be an opportunity to bid on this mooring when it goes to auction with the Canal and River Trust in August – so contact us now for a viewing!
